Hellooooooo! Wow! I am just one happy girly!  We have been busyyyyyyyy this week! We've just been super motivated to shape up silver city!  Side note- I realize more and more every day how weird this place is. There are just a lot of weird people here. It's a good time. But we had a fun week! We went on exchanges, one of the people we are teaching brought his bird outside for us to see, we ate some ice cream, met some cool people, killed some spiders, and we had a really cool thing happen at the branch we cover! So sister curtis and I cover two wards and a branch... and our branch is like supppppeeerrr tiny. There are literally 9 people that come... so it's called a "twig" instead of a branch sometimes..... But anyways! We started teaching someone and invited her to church about a month ago and she came! And she loved it! And yesterday when we went to church at this branch (it's about an hour from where we live) we found out from the members that she got her h...

This week has been busy busy busy! We've done about 12 hours of service in the past week! its been pretty good though becuase at one of the service projects we were able to talk to a lady who has been super interested in the book of mormon (so we gave her one of course) , and we ran into a lady who left the church a long time ago and has been wanting to come back! So we are going to meet with her this week! So those were some cool experiences! I also had the nice surprise of going to eat breakfast yesterday and having all of my food infested with ants.... so that wasnt very good. Weve also had a spider in our apartment at least once a week this week so I think Gods trying to toughen me up or something This morning we had an especially traumatic experience with what we call the zombie spider. I was cleaning the bathroom and spraying bug spray in each corner and a spider came crawling out of one of them. It looked almost dead but I sprayed some windex on it for good measure becuase I...

Holy Guacamole! Where do I begin??? I've had the most insanely wonderful week! I am just so happy! First of all, I love love love LOVE sister curtis! We have just been getting along so well and working so well together! It's been reallllllly good! Also! We had stake confrence this week and a member of the seventy came and just did an incredible job! It was halarious becuase right before the Saturday adult session, we had a lesson with Brother Quinn and he was really upset about the fact that missionaries dont get enough credit...  then the whole session was about missionaries and how great they are! It was so funny and Brother Quinn had a big smile on his face! The member of the seventy even took time to talk to Brother Quinn, and he referred to himself as a "future member"! It was sooooo exciting! We also got to spend Sunday greeting people to stake confrence, and having a fun lunch with all the missionaries in our stake. We had sooo much fun together! I just love me...

This week has been wayyyyyy too much fun! I love sister curtis so much and we are having a blast!  We were in a trio for one day while Hermana Hafens companions were at a MLC meeting and we had sooooo much fun together... then her companions ended up staying at our apartment last minute so we had 5 girls crammed in a tiny room which was wayyyyyy too much fun. There was more laughing than sleeping for a while haha  Also, I've been driving the taco which has been super fun... its a good truck. We named it Denise.  Confrence as a missionary is the best thing ever! I felt like every talk was perfect for at least one of the people we are teaching which made it a really cool experience. I just loved confrence though, so many good things were said! My favorite session was the one we watched with Brother and Sister Quinn becuase all the talks were soooo perfect for Brother Quinn! And, we had banana cream pie which definitely made me happy. Taking over the area has not been easy b...

Idk why they call it transfer cheese but they do! Anyways my cheese is that my companion is leaving!! I'm taking over!! Its super rare to get a new companion while still training but I'm excited! ( maybe I won't be 10 inches taller than sister curtis, but we will just have to wait and see haha) Send prayers though becuase I still dont know where anything is or who anyone is, But! I've been out a whole transfer already which is super crazy!! I feel like I just got here! We've had a great week and have been trying to rely on the spirit more which has been a really good experience. We've had lots of success and we are killing it here in silver city! Also its starting to kind of get warm here and I'm starting to kind of have a farmers tan which is definitely exciting! I can not wait for general confrence! I am so grateful we have a modern day prophet and I am extremely excited to listen to him this weekend! I hope everyone enjoys conference and that you all can ...
