Hello my dear friends and family!! Life is so good! We worked hardddddd this week! I definitely needed a pday bc I am just exhausted in every way possible! But it was definitely a very fulfilling week!  Story time! So we were in Mimbres (where our branch is) and we were about to head out to go home, but I saw a house all the way down on the far corner and it was calling to me! So we went and knocked on it! And no one answered! BUT! Becuase we went all the way down to the corner, we spotted a guy and knew we really needed to talk to him! So we did! And he said we were the first people in the two years he had been living there to stand on his porch! And that he thinks he moved there so we could find him! By the time we were done talking, he was asking what time church was and he was excited to start reading the book of mormon! AND! The lady we are teaching out there is reading her book of mormon and the saints book every single day, shes coming to church faithfully, and she wants to ...

The Arizona Miracle

Soooo today has been insane. Due to some weird circumstances, we had to be anywhere in Arizona today... and the closest place to us in Arizona is a super weird little town called Duncan Arizona... so last night we texted the Elders here and they said that they would leave the church unlocked for us becuase they're spending the day in Safford, but then we got here and the whole church was locked. So they call us and say that they forgot about unlocking it, but that someone could be there by 11:30, which was and hour and a half away.  So we decided that we would just go eat lunch. And there is literally ONE restaurant that was open (which was actually right bu the church luckily)... so we went there, and there is literally ONE family inside and they are kind of looking at us while they were taking their orders, and I got all worried that they hated our church or something, but then they say "we dont usually have sisters around here!" And we go talk to them and they said to ...

Tucson, Moms, And Cheese Week

Image
Hello friends! I've had an amazing week!! (besides the dead cockroach in my shoe this morning) The highlight was being able to go to Tucson for my graduation from training!  I got to see allllll my cute friends and have a really good meeting:) I also had a fun dinner with a member in sister curtis's first area. I'm officially not a greenie anymore! Hard to beleive I've been in the field for 12 weeks already!  We also got our transfer cheese! And I found out why it's called transfer cheese! The word for "gossip" in spanish is "chisme" which sounds a lot like cheese so I guess that's where they got it.... but anyways, me and sister curtis are staying!!! So happy to have another transfer with her... I also had a nice call with my cute fam bam yesterday!.. and I think the best part was knowing that I wouldn't have to wait till Christmas to talk to them again haha  Sister curtis and I are pretty lucky to have some good "moms" out her...

Miracles On Miracles

WE HAD THE BEST WEEK!! First of all, we did sooo many fun things! We played ultimate frisbee, we were in a trio for a day, we ate free big macs, we attacked the elders with nerf guns, ate some moldy cheesecake at a members house.... alllllllllll the fun things! But! We also had some major breakthroughs with the people we are teaching!!! The BEST thing ever happened!!! Brother Quinn is READY TO BE BAPTIZEDDDD!!!! After 6 months of missionary lessons and 50 years of marriage to a member he is readyyyyyyyy!!! It was soooo amazing!! There were sooo many miracles that led into this, but to keep it short... he said his first "sincere heart, with real intent" prayer and at the SAME TIME we were planning his lesson and knew that we should take it in a totally different direction and we ended up saying exactly what he needed to hear and answered the exact question he had prayed so hard about that day!! IT WAS THE BEST!! My mission highlight for sure... took up 3 pages of journal space...
