Holy frijoles! This week was jam packed with goodness!!! We had exchanges, lots of service projects, BROTHER QUINNS BAPTISM, cheese night, lots of face masks, we made a nerf gun course in our apartment, and we went to the Gila Cliff Dwellings today!!! and I'm sure theres a lot more I forgot about...  Anywaysssssssss...the baptism went soooooo well! He was so excited and happy! It was also kind of funny cuz the guy that baptized him called him by his nickname, so after the whole program, we had to baptize him again! And we just had a private little baptism with a couple people haha _______________________ I want to share a little bit about brother quinns conversion story! Brother Quinn was at a train station last summer  in Lordburg New Mexico, about an hour away from here, and remembered that he had a relative from silver city NM... he then told his wife that he wanted to move to Silver City! She thought he was crazy but... long story short, they moved here in November so that...

Soooo! To once again prove that this place is full of weirdos, its story time! So, we went to visit an old lady named maryanne that some missionaries had visited in the past, and when we went to her house, there was a super weird chick named emily in her house. So we asked if maryanne was there, and she said that maryanne would be back in about an hour but after visiting her neighbor, we saw that she had gotten home and had a ton of groceries. So we offered to help her with her groceries since shes super old, and she was super nice and grateful but every time we tried to take something inside, emily would say "leave it on the porch! I got it!" And was just super weird. Then maryanne told us to come back the next day.... So we are at her house the next day, and maryanne was telling us how her friend emily is a kleptomaniac and how she always just shows up at her house and leaves with a bag of stuff (she even pointed to an empty hook on the wall where she had taken a painting) ...

First of all! Thank you for all the letters/packages/emails/ messages... you all are the best!!!! Yesterday was amazing! I ate chocolate cake for breakfast and with lunch and dinner! I had a birthday dinner with the quinns and the demills and I learned how to play parcheezy (idk how to spell it) but it was just a super nice day! Until.. Literally the most DISTURBING thing ever happened last night! So I was walking out of the bathroom last night, and it was like 10 minutes before bedtime... and there was a freaking worm in our apartment.... which! Is really weird and gross... but like we were like "let's just get a paper and scoop it up and put it outside" ya know.... BUT! When we touched it with the paper, it started CHARGING at us! And SLITHERING! And it was SO FAST!!! And long! And terrifying! And disgusting! But! We caught it under a cereal bowl! And put a 3 pound weight on it just in case. And we called elder demill and he came and killed it.... and we found out this ...

So last pday... the family we ate with that night was going to make us menudo (which is like a mexican pig intestine soup) (and I wasnt super stoked)... But! Instead they made molé which is like a weird chicken with like chili and peanut butter and chocolate and it was like super weird but I actually really really liked it. So the lady gave me a bunch to take home, so I had it almost every day this week. So that was cool... We also got locked out of our apartment AND car this week! But! With some help of the senior couple, we found out that our real estate agent was a member of our ward! And lived down the road from us! So we got a spare and we were good! We have also done a tooooon of yard work... and apparently it takes a pick axe, a lot of water, and a couple hours to dig New Mexico soil! We had a lot of fun   And! For the grand finale..... BROTHER QUINN SET A BAPTISMAL DATE!!!! We are sooooo excited for him! Sister Quinn has been waiting 42 years for this!! I am so so so g...
