Holy Molé!

So last pday... the family we ate with that night was going to make us menudo (which is like a mexican pig intestine soup) (and I wasnt super stoked)... But! Instead they made molé which is like a weird chicken with like chili and peanut butter and chocolate and it was like super weird but I actually really really liked it. So the lady gave me a bunch to take home, so I had it almost every day this week. So that was cool...


We also got locked out of our apartment AND car this week! But! With some help of the senior couple, we found out that our real estate agent was a member of our ward! And lived down the road from us! So we got a spare and we were good!


We have also done a tooooon of yard work... and apparently it takes a pick axe, a lot of water, and a couple hours to dig New Mexico soil! We had a lot of fun 


 And! For the grand finale..... BROTHER QUINN SET A BAPTISMAL DATE!!!! We are sooooo excited for him! Sister Quinn has been waiting 42 years for this!! I am so so so grateful that I have been able to teach him the whole time if been on my mission so far. I have definitely seen the Lords hand soooo many times while teaching him.


Alsooooooooo..... This coming Sunday (June 9th) is my birthday! And I love getting mail! So if anyone wants to send me a short note or like print off a meme or a picture of their cat or something, that would definitely make my day!!

Tucson, Moms, And Cheese Week

Hello friends! I've had an amazing week!! (besides the dead cockroach in my shoe this morning) The highlight was being able to go to Tucson for my graduation from training!  I got to see allllll my cute friends and have a really good meeting:) I also had a fun dinner with a member in sister curtis's first area. I'm officially not a greenie anymore! Hard to beleive I've been in the field for 12 weeks already!  We also got our transfer cheese! And I found out why it's called transfer cheese! The word for "gossip" in spanish is "chisme" which sounds a lot like cheese so I guess that's where they got it.... but anyways, me and sister curtis are staying!!! So happy to have another transfer with her... I also had a nice call with my cute fam bam yesterday!.. and I think the best part was knowing that I wouldn't have to wait till Christmas to talk to them again haha  Sister curtis and I are pretty lucky to have some good "moms" out her...

I Got To Pet Wolves Today!!

It's been kind of a long week! I got sick on Tuesday and I'm just getting better... but I am glad I didn't get the flu because there is a crazy outbreak here (we had to wear masks when we visited some people at a care facility)  We are the only zone of the mission with day light savings because every one else is in Arizona! So that's kinda weird when we are trying to communicate with other missionaries  This week we did some service and walked dogs at the humane society... and today we got to pet wolves at a wolf sanctuary! It was so cool! There were tons and tons of them and they were super sweet. But! I've been doing well, definitely been a little up and down this week... but I just loveeee reading the book of mormon so much and my testimony grows stronger each day. Its a dang good book :) Getting super excited for Audries baptism on Saturday! She is so awesome!  I also asked someone to get baptized this week! hello!  it's been another great week in catalina!! something fun that happened this week is that we had our ward halloween trunk or treat! sister daly & I dressed up as angels and decorated our trunk and handed out smarties! it was so fun! we also met a lot of cool people this week! it was cool because one time we street contacted someone who said he wasnt interested, but as we walked back to our car, he stopped us asking for our number so that he could talk to his wife about having us over! it was so cool! there are so many little miracles every day!  so yeah! things are going well and we are happy happy happy! the only bad thing was my gnarly toe infection hahaha... But! I have been feeling extra grateful this week to be a missionary!
