Best Week!!

Holy guacamole we had the bestttt week! I have soooo much to talk about!!


Okay okay! So first of all, we got to take our WHOLE district up to San Manuel to tract for a couple hours! San Manuel is a weird, run down, kinda sketch, kinda napoleon dynamite vibes, kinda apocalypse vibes, but fun part of our area and it's literally in the middle of nowhere! But we got permission to take our missions 15-seater transfer van on a a little roadtrip to do some finding! It was so so so fun! It was over an hour drive both ways so we had a lot of fun together! And we found a bunch of awesome people to start teaching!!


Then! Thanksgiving was soooo fun! We did some service by going on a nice long hike and picked up trash! It was nice cuz we were able to talk to a lot of people! And we had a nice, gluten-free meal with our favorite fam here hehe! 


Also it rained a ton, AND! A different weird part of our area, Oracle AZ, got 4 inches of snow on Friday! It mostly melted by time we got out there on Saturday, but we took pics with some clumps hehehe


then then THEN! The greatest thing EVER happened! So yesterday, I fasted that I could find one person prepared for baptism before I left the area, and then! Someone self referred herself! So we went over, not knowing what to expect... and turns out, she has been studying a 1950 version of the book of mormon for over 50 years! And thinks it's one of the holiest books on earth, along with the king james version of the bible! Seriously! I couldn't beleive it! She had lots of questions regarding the plan of salvation, and we had an incredible lesson! We are going back on Wednesday and I CANT wait! 


also our zone group chat was poppin last night. We had a lot of eggs splattered in lots of missionaries apartments hahaha...

Tucson, Moms, And Cheese Week

Hello friends! I've had an amazing week!! (besides the dead cockroach in my shoe this morning) The highlight was being able to go to Tucson for my graduation from training!  I got to see allllll my cute friends and have a really good meeting:) I also had a fun dinner with a member in sister curtis's first area. I'm officially not a greenie anymore! Hard to beleive I've been in the field for 12 weeks already!  We also got our transfer cheese! And I found out why it's called transfer cheese! The word for "gossip" in spanish is "chisme" which sounds a lot like cheese so I guess that's where they got it.... but anyways, me and sister curtis are staying!!! So happy to have another transfer with her... I also had a nice call with my cute fam bam yesterday!.. and I think the best part was knowing that I wouldn't have to wait till Christmas to talk to them again haha  Sister curtis and I are pretty lucky to have some good "moms" out her...

I Got To Pet Wolves Today!!

It's been kind of a long week! I got sick on Tuesday and I'm just getting better... but I am glad I didn't get the flu because there is a crazy outbreak here (we had to wear masks when we visited some people at a care facility)  We are the only zone of the mission with day light savings because every one else is in Arizona! So that's kinda weird when we are trying to communicate with other missionaries  This week we did some service and walked dogs at the humane society... and today we got to pet wolves at a wolf sanctuary! It was so cool! There were tons and tons of them and they were super sweet. But! I've been doing well, definitely been a little up and down this week... but I just loveeee reading the book of mormon so much and my testimony grows stronger each day. Its a dang good book :) Getting super excited for Audries baptism on Saturday! She is so awesome!  I also asked someone to get baptized this week! I definitely wasnt planning on asking when we went ove...

Angels

hello!  it's been another great week in catalina!! something fun that happened this week is that we had our ward halloween trunk or treat! sister daly & I dressed up as angels and decorated our trunk and handed out smarties! it was so fun! we also met a lot of cool people this week! it was cool because one time we street contacted someone who said he wasnt interested, but as we walked back to our car, he stopped us asking for our number so that he could talk to his wife about having us over! it was so cool! there are so many little miracles every day!  so yeah! things are going well and we are happy happy happy! the only bad thing was my gnarly toe infection hahaha... But! I have been feeling extra grateful this week to be a missionary!
