Best Week Ever :')
Honestly, hands down, best week of my mission and possibly life.
First off, I got my new companion and she is the GREATEST! We seriously get along so well and we have literally had a crazy miracle happen every single day that we have been together!!!! I will list a few:
- spent 45 minutes trying to find someone we felt like we should visit only to end up knocking right as she was walking up to her door! (so, she couldn't avoid us!!) Within a 5 minute conversation, she went from giving "please go away" vibes to asking if she could give us a hug! It was such a cool change to see so fast!
- we were able to set another baptism date with a member of a part-member family that have been working with the missionaries for YEARS! sooo exciting!!
- I wanted to tract "El Burrito Avenue" all last transfer but was never able to. We decided to go on Thursday, we parked, prayed, looked at the street and chose one house to start with, asked if we could share a quick scripture and SHE INVITED US IN! (miracle in and of itself)....
BUT! she talked about how she believed you don't have to be part of a specific religion and that just believing in God was enough, but that she still prays and asks God that if she IS supposed to belong to a specific church, to let her know. We shared the first vision with her and it totally touched her. I wish I could give you all the details of this amazing lesson, but long story short: she was asking us if she could come to church and if we could keep teaching her more!!!! ( we said yes;) )
- We had 10 minutes before dinner so we each chose 1 door to knock. The first was a family who was busy but could have some potential, the second was an old Hungarian lady who kept saying "you came at just the right time!!!" She has been asking God to send someone to lift her spirits! We shared a scripture, said a prayer, and she wants us to come teach her!!
¡¡ALLL the milagros!!
But, on top of all this great stuff... ELDER UCHTDORF happened to be in town for his great-grandchilds baby blessing! So he came and did a whole mission confrence on Saturday!! Him and his wife spoke to us and they are literally the best. He was just so real and funny and genuine. He even gave us heart-hands at the end! hahahaha....
The thing that stood out the most is at the end when he bore his testimony and gave us an apostolic blessing, he said "He lives. I know Him." And I think everyone in the room could feel a spirit woosh. It was amazing.
I want to add my testimony to his that CHRIST LIVES!!! He knows us perfectly, and He loves us perfectly. And no matter what, He is always always always there for you.
Love you alll!!!!
