Life Tip: Be Like Nephi

howdy!!!!
Its story time!
So I'm going to be real honest. This has been the hardest transfer of my whole mission! I really have been struggling these past 5 week! I mean, the area hasbeen a little rough and all, but more than anything I just kind of hit an exhaustion wall a little bit, ya know? I have kind of been in a rut, but this week I was able to see the Lords hand in SO many ways becuase of it.

The first way is that HOLY MOLY this come follow me program is absolutely incredible! And what a better life example to have than Nephi himself?? Just in the first 7 chapters this week, I have found countless examples of how to get through trials, how they can benefit me for the better, how to be more patient, how I can show more faith and be blessed for it, how I can be a better missionary and a better example for others, and literally just so many things that I have needed to hear.

The second way that I have seen the Lords hand is by having presidents interveiws this week! As missionaries, we have an interveiw with the president every transfer. Thy are usually towards the beginning or middle, and we were supposed to have them a few weeks ago, but the day of interveiws they got moved, so we had them this last thursday instead. It was honestly such a miracle though, because being able to meet with him as I was starting to work through my rough patch was just what I needed. One of the things that has been hard for me here is that I haven't been able to find my purpose for being in this area. But as I explained how nephi was helping fix my problems, he pointed out that this is the reason I am here! To learn this lesson! It was honestly so mind blowing to me, but he was so right!

The third way is that we were able to have an incredible 5 stake devotional this weekend. Elder Kyle S. McKay of the seventy came, and he is the best!! He came for a half mission confrence last year and I seriously think about the things he said all the time. He is a missionary genius! Anyways! We had a devotional with all the missionary leadership in these 5 stakes about how to further member missionary work, and seriously, I received so many answers to soooo many prayers about how I can help the ward here! I was so crazy!

Anyways, I am sorry, these long emails are not really my style but I really felt like I should share what I learned this week. Even though these last 5 weeks have been extremely tough for me, I can honestly say that I have become a better missionary, a better person, and that I have come closer to Christ and increased my testimony because of it.

I love you ALL and dont forget to do your come follow me, you won't regret it ;)
