"So How Long You Been A Satanist?" -Elder Hatch While Tracting Before The Door Was Slammed In His Face

HEY!!
It was a great week! We had zone confrence, we followed a barefoot lady we later named "spooky boi lady," we spent hours making homemade sugar cookies to decorate at a district valentines potluck, we met a guy names mitchell that asked us & the elders to pray for his 9 daughters/ 2 step daughters, we weeded some people yards, helped people chase their dogs, talked in spanish a little bit! (I'll talk more about that), and had the funniest moment of my life!!!!!


So I'll tell you more about speaking spanish. We knocked on someones door and we met someone named José! He was visiting from Mexico and spoke NO ENGLISH so we kind of spoke in the tiny bit of spanish we knew, but then with the help of Google translate and calling our district leader to talk to him, we found out that he had been in contact with missionaries in Mexico the week before!! We were able to give him an El Libro de Mormón and hes going to read it while he's on his trip! He's hecka prepared & I'm so stoked for those missionaries in Mexico. AND someone that he was staying with is interested and we started teaching him! Booyah!!!!


Also the funniest moment of my life!! We went with the elders to give a blessing but they weren't home and elder otuafi grabbed a nice, decorative pillow from the porch and whacked a giant mosquito on the wall and it was SOOOO funny!!! He was confused why we were laughing so hard so elder hatch explained that here in the US it's not super polite to kill bugs with people's decorative pillows HAHA good times...


Anyways! We went on a nice long home as a zone this morning and it was just a super crazy good week! LOVE YA LOTS!

Tucson, Moms, And Cheese Week

Hello friends! I've had an amazing week!! (besides the dead cockroach in my shoe this morning) The highlight was being able to go to Tucson for my graduation from training!  I got to see allllll my cute friends and have a really good meeting:) I also had a fun dinner with a member in sister curtis's first area. I'm officially not a greenie anymore! Hard to beleive I've been in the field for 12 weeks already!  We also got our transfer cheese! And I found out why it's called transfer cheese! The word for "gossip" in spanish is "chisme" which sounds a lot like cheese so I guess that's where they got it.... but anyways, me and sister curtis are staying!!! So happy to have another transfer with her... I also had a nice call with my cute fam bam yesterday!.. and I think the best part was knowing that I wouldn't have to wait till Christmas to talk to them again haha  Sister curtis and I are pretty lucky to have some good "moms" out her...

I Got To Pet Wolves Today!!

It's been kind of a long week! I got sick on Tuesday and I'm just getting better... but I am glad I didn't get the flu because there is a crazy outbreak here (we had to wear masks when we visited some people at a care facility)  We are the only zone of the mission with day light savings because every one else is in Arizona! So that's kinda weird when we are trying to communicate with other missionaries  This week we did some service and walked dogs at the humane society... and today we got to pet wolves at a wolf sanctuary! It was so cool! There were tons and tons of them and they were super sweet. But! I've been doing well, definitely been a little up and down this week... but I just loveeee reading the book of mormon so much and my testimony grows stronger each day. Its a dang good book :) Getting super excited for Audries baptism on Saturday! She is so awesome!  I also asked someone to get baptized this week! Angels

hello!  it's been another great week in catalina!! something fun that happened this week is that we had our ward halloween trunk or treat! sister daly & I dressed up as angels and decorated our trunk and handed out smarties! it was so fun! we also met a lot of cool people this week! it was cool because one time we street contacted someone who said he wasnt interested, but as we walked back to our car, he stopped us asking for our number so that he could talk to his wife about having us over! it was so cool! there are so many little miracles every day!  so yeah! things are going well and we are happy happy happy! the only bad thing was my gnarly toe infection hahaha... But! I have been feeling extra grateful this week to be a missionary!
