Made The Cut I Guess://...
welllllllllllllllllllllllllll. a LOT has changed since my last email home. If I am being completely honest, this has truly been the hardest past 5 days of prettty much any time I can remember haha. we got put in quarantine on wednesday and on friday we found out that 3 members of our district, along with about 50 other missionaries, were being sent home this weekend due to their health problems that make them more susceptible to the virus.
dang. I didnt really know you could come to love a group of people so much. many many many many many tears were shed this weekend hahaha.
It's honestly been so so hard for me to see the good in all of this. I usually have no problem seeing the bright side but WOW this one has been really challenging.
But, throughout this week, I have had a reoccurring thought about pickles:D!
hahaha, there's a pickle analogy that I have heard a few times on my mission, and I dont remember it perfectly, but basically, the point of it is that a pickle changes from a cucumber to a pickle based on what it is immersed in. This has come to my mind so much and I have been thinking about how I can spend my time in quarantine being sad and lonely and stressed... or I can spend my time in quarantine coming closer to christ and increasing my faith in Him.
I'm still working on motivating myself to get to this point, but I know this random analogy from a long time ago didnt just pop into my head randomly, but that God is really trying to teach me something.
I know this is getting long but a little miracle that we had was on our VERY FIRST video lesson and I was really worried it would be hard to follow the spirit on it, especially since it was our first time ever teaching this guy too! I felt inspired to talk about baptism and WOW the words coming out of my mouth were NOT MINE! it was some really good stuff!...
I asked if that was something he would like to do and he got all emotional and said it was. it was really a sign to me that this whole change is going to work out okay:)
welp! love you guys lots! thanks so much for the prayers & support:)
