The Big Bad Cockroach

Yo yo yo yoooooo!! Its cockroach season again here in AZ
I had a fun experience this week when I was taking a nice shower and looked down to see an usually large cockroach in the tub:) so I decided to just keep calm, get out and put on my towel, and recruit my companion for help killing this bad boy. We tried trapping it to get it outside, but that didnt work in the tub. We tried pouring bleach on it, but it didnt work. Then we had to get out the shoe. My comp was holding the shower curtain, and I was holding the shoe and it was a big red splatter......it was super gross. Then we were trying to rinse the bleach and cockroach guts down the drain and someone called and we thought it would be quick but it was so long and i was just so cold and still had soap in my hair hahahah ahhhhh it was a party.


We ALSO pulled a big birthday surprise on our district leader! He turned 21, so we played early morning bball and me & my comp filled the WHOLE car with balloons! It was honestly so much fun! 


So yeah! It was a SUPER fun week! But we also had a super crazy awesome miracle! We were tracting by the spirit and found a cool couple! The wife is an inactive member who had been wanting to come back to church, and her husband used to take missionary lessons and listens to the book of mormon while driving to work every day!!!!! Its super crazy! Her records aren't even here so it was an awesome miracle to find them


It was a super solid week! I am just LOVIN life:)

Tucson, Moms, And Cheese Week

Hello friends! I've had an amazing week!! (besides the dead cockroach in my shoe this morning) The highlight was being able to go to Tucson for my graduation from training!  I got to see allllll my cute friends and have a really good meeting:) I also had a fun dinner with a member in sister curtis's first area. I'm officially not a greenie anymore! Hard to beleive I've been in the field for 12 weeks already!  We also got our transfer cheese! And I found out why it's called transfer cheese! The word for "gossip" in spanish is "chisme" which sounds a lot like cheese so I guess that's where they got it.... but anyways, me and sister curtis are staying!!! So happy to have another transfer with her... I also had a nice call with my cute fam bam yesterday!.. and I think the best part was knowing that I wouldn't have to wait till Christmas to talk to them again haha  Sister curtis and I are pretty lucky to have some good "moms" out her...

I Got To Pet Wolves Today!!

It's been kind of a long week! I got sick on Tuesday and I'm just getting better... but I am glad I didn't get the flu because there is a crazy outbreak here (we had to wear masks when we visited some people at a care facility)  We are the only zone of the mission with day light savings because every one else is in Arizona! So that's kinda weird when we are trying to communicate with other missionaries  This week we did some service and walked dogs at the humane society... and today we got to pet wolves at a wolf sanctuary! It was so cool! There were tons and tons of them and they were super sweet. But! I've been doing well, definitely been a little up and down this week... but I just loveeee reading the book of mormon so much and my testimony grows stronger each day. Its a dang good book :) Getting super excited for Audries baptism on Saturday! She is so awesome!  I also asked someone to get baptized this week! I definitely wasnt planning on asking when we went ove...

Angels

hello!  it's been another great week in catalina!! something fun that happened this week is that we had our ward halloween trunk or treat! sister daly & I dressed up as angels and decorated our trunk and handed out smarties! it was so fun! we also met a lot of cool people this week! it was cool because one time we street contacted someone who said he wasnt interested, but as we walked back to our car, he stopped us asking for our number so that he could talk to his wife about having us over! it was so cool! there are so many little miracles every day!  so yeah! things are going well and we are happy happy happy! the only bad thing was my gnarly toe infection hahaha... But! I have been feeling extra grateful this week to be a missionary!
