My Hair Is My Favorite Color ;)

OKAY SO IM GONNA TALK ABOUT MY HAIR FOR A BIT

okay so story time. I cut my hair short before I left on my mission and for some reason I challenged myself to not cut it my whole mission so I could see how much it grew or somethin I dont really know but I've actually done it!
so lately I've just been REALLY missing my short hair and my highlights were just super grown out and no bueno and I just really really really wanted to cut my hair but I've literally made it this long without cutting it so I couldn't just give up now!!!
so, on thursday, I decided to dye my hair. I've never dyed it before so I was real excited. we headed to walmart and grabbed two boxes of dark brown hair dye and my comp, sister DYE, DYED my hair that night and IT TURNED OUT WAY DARKER THAN I THOUGHT IT WOULD and it's almost black but like it's cool and I'm totalllllllyyyyyyy digging it. 
impulsive quarantine decisions done right!!:)

this week was pretty rad. I actually really enjoyed the fast on friday! fasting is real special becuase it allows you to feel the spirit stronger. it's interesting how giving up one thing can make room for another:)
also, not sure if you remember but the gila valley is like 99% members (jk idk the actual stats, but it's probably close to that lol) and it was super funny becuase EVERY FOOD PLACE was closed for the fast, like they literally all had "closed for good friday" signs on them #onlyingv... it was funny. but we were also kinda bummed bc we couldn't get snowcones after we ended our fast.


well, I hope you all had a gooood easter! I'm so grateful for this special time we have to remember the savior and all he did for each of us

Tucson, Moms, And Cheese Week

Hello friends! I've had an amazing week!! (besides the dead cockroach in my shoe this morning) The highlight was being able to go to Tucson for my graduation from training!  I got to see allllll my cute friends and have a really good meeting:) I also had a fun dinner with a member in sister curtis's first area. I'm officially not a greenie anymore! Hard to beleive I've been in the field for 12 weeks already!  We also got our transfer cheese! And I found out why it's called transfer cheese! The word for "gossip" in spanish is "chisme" which sounds a lot like cheese so I guess that's where they got it.... but anyways, me and sister curtis are staying!!! So happy to have another transfer with her... I also had a nice call with my cute fam bam yesterday!.. and I think the best part was knowing that I wouldn't have to wait till Christmas to talk to them again haha  Sister curtis and I are pretty lucky to have some good "moms" out her...

I Got To Pet Wolves Today!!

It's been kind of a long week! I got sick on Tuesday and I'm just getting better... but I am glad I didn't get the flu because there is a crazy outbreak here (we had to wear masks when we visited some people at a care facility)  We are the only zone of the mission with day light savings because every one else is in Arizona! So that's kinda weird when we are trying to communicate with other missionaries  This week we did some service and walked dogs at the humane society... and today we got to pet wolves at a wolf sanctuary! It was so cool! There were tons and tons of them and they were super sweet. But! I've been doing well, definitely been a little up and down this week... but I just loveeee reading the book of mormon so much and my testimony grows stronger each day. Its a dang good book :) Getting super excited for Audries baptism on Saturday! She is so awesome!  I also asked someone to get baptized this week! I definitely wasnt planning on asking when we went ove...

Angels

hello!  it's been another great week in catalina!! something fun that happened this week is that we had our ward halloween trunk or treat! sister daly & I dressed up as angels and decorated our trunk and handed out smarties! it was so fun! we also met a lot of cool people this week! it was cool because one time we street contacted someone who said he wasnt interested, but as we walked back to our car, he stopped us asking for our number so that he could talk to his wife about having us over! it was so cool! there are so many little miracles every day!  so yeah! things are going well and we are happy happy happy! the only bad thing was my gnarly toe infection hahaha... But! I have been feeling extra grateful this week to be a missionary!
