"Skateboardings Easy. Its Just Like A Big Tech Deck!" -Sister Wilcox

hey! lots of great stuff this week!!!
we are really getting the hang of the quarantine life!!! we decided that we can't let the quarantine get to us, so we are officially (well, mostly) off sugar and we work out 3 times a day!! (morning-muscle building, day-just anything outdoors, and night-CARDIOO) and I feel amaaaazing!!!!


we ALSO had a crazy miracle this week! there is a guy in a part member family who has been coming to church for YEARS and has literally given talks in church! but for some reason, he hasn't been ready to be baptized. we were praying to know how we could bring up baptism to him....
as soon as his wife answered the video call, she said "oh it will just be my husband and my son on the call tonight, my husband is pretty sure he wants to be baptized!" sooo we had a super great conversation and essentially all this time home with his family has made him realize what's important to him and that he doesn't want to wait any more! SOOO COOL!! major milagro<3


so yeah! things this week have been really good:) AND! general confrence just brought me tons & tons of peace that I have been looking for! we are so blessed to have a living prophet & apostles to lead and guide our church! I'm so grateful to be a member of christs church restored to the earth in the last days!!!

Tucson, Moms, And Cheese Week

Hello friends! I've had an amazing week!! (besides the dead cockroach in my shoe this morning) The highlight was being able to go to Tucson for my graduation from training!  I got to see allllll my cute friends and have a really good meeting:) I also had a fun dinner with a member in sister curtis's first area. I'm officially not a greenie anymore! Hard to beleive I've been in the field for 12 weeks already!  We also got our transfer cheese! And I found out why it's called transfer cheese! The word for "gossip" in spanish is "chisme" which sounds a lot like cheese so I guess that's where they got it.... but anyways, me and sister curtis are staying!!! So happy to have another transfer with her... I also had a nice call with my cute fam bam yesterday!.. and I think the best part was knowing that I wouldn't have to wait till Christmas to talk to them again haha  Sister curtis and I are pretty lucky to have some good "moms" out her...

I Got To Pet Wolves Today!!

It's been kind of a long week! I got sick on Tuesday and I'm just getting better... but I am glad I didn't get the flu because there is a crazy outbreak here (we had to wear masks when we visited some people at a care facility)  We are the only zone of the mission with day light savings because every one else is in Arizona! So that's kinda weird when we are trying to communicate with other missionaries  This week we did some service and walked dogs at the humane society... and today we got to pet wolves at a wolf sanctuary! It was so cool! There were tons and tons of them and they were super sweet. But! I've been doing well, definitely been a little up and down this week... but I just loveeee reading the book of mormon so much and my testimony grows stronger each day. Its a dang good book :) Getting super excited for Audries baptism on Saturday! She is so awesome!  I also asked someone to get baptized this week! I definitely wasnt planning on asking when we went ove...

Angels

hello!  it's been another great week in catalina!! something fun that happened this week is that we had our ward halloween trunk or treat! sister daly & I dressed up as angels and decorated our trunk and handed out smarties! it was so fun! we also met a lot of cool people this week! it was cool because one time we street contacted someone who said he wasnt interested, but as we walked back to our car, he stopped us asking for our number so that he could talk to his wife about having us over! it was so cool! there are so many little miracles every day!  so yeah! things are going well and we are happy happy happy! the only bad thing was my gnarly toe infection hahaha... But! I have been feeling extra grateful this week to be a missionary!
