STHNOM 6 YPPAH

so about the title. it was my comps six month mark last week and I wanted to do something nice for her to celebrate... so I woke up early and made her a cute little "happy 6 months" banner and I taped on all the little triangles and I finally finished and held it up..... and realized that I taped them ALL on in reverse order. it was actually really funny though, so instead of fixing it, I left it, and now we have a super confusing banner on our wall!! 


so! I have kind of a fun story to tell! so, as missionaries, we have a weird rule where every time our companion is backing the car, we have to stand behind it and let them know that the coast is clear. it's super weird and you kinda look like an idiot but #obediencebringsblessings ya know? 
so anyways, a couple weeks ago, we had just finished some service at a community garden thing, and I was backing my comp and this lady was looking at me kinda funny, so I said "shes just a bad driver" and she started laughing really hard! but then she said that she liked my sandals! and mmmmm if you know me at all, you know that I LOVE my chacos so of course I proceeded to try and convert her to the chaco life and we were having a goood ol conversation, but one thing lead to another and she mentioned that she was trying to plant some little bushes but that she was just too old to do that kind of thing anymore, so I was like "we can totally come plant them for you!" so we did that last week, and this week, we recruited some elders so help move a small tree from one side of the house to the other for her too BUT the cool thing is! we have become such good friends with her and we asked if we could come share some lessons with her and she said shes totally open to learning! booyah!!! I'm so excited about it and AH I just love her so much!! she is sooo funny and so spunky! I'll put some pics from our service at her house this week:)


so yeah! things have been good! we got our cheese on saturday, and I will be staying with sister dye in this area for another transfer. kinda wild that I'm starting my second to last transfer! time is totally flying!!! but WOW I have just learned so much and I just love the mish and I lovee jesus and I'm super stoked to totally kill it these last twelve weeks.

Tucson, Moms, And Cheese Week

Hello friends! I've had an amazing week!! (besides the dead cockroach in my shoe this morning) The highlight was being able to go to Tucson for my graduation from training!  I got to see allllll my cute friends and have a really good meeting:) I also had a fun dinner with a member in sister curtis's first area. I'm officially not a greenie anymore! Hard to beleive I've been in the field for 12 weeks already!  We also got our transfer cheese! And I found out why it's called transfer cheese! The word for "gossip" in spanish is "chisme" which sounds a lot like cheese so I guess that's where they got it.... but anyways, me and sister curtis are staying!!! So happy to have another transfer with her... I also had a nice call with my cute fam bam yesterday!.. and I think the best part was knowing that I wouldn't have to wait till Christmas to talk to them again haha  Sister curtis and I are pretty lucky to have some good "moms" out her...

I Got To Pet Wolves Today!!

It's been kind of a long week! I got sick on Tuesday and I'm just getting better... but I am glad I didn't get the flu because there is a crazy outbreak here (we had to wear masks when we visited some people at a care facility)  We are the only zone of the mission with day light savings because every one else is in Arizona! So that's kinda weird when we are trying to communicate with other missionaries  This week we did some service and walked dogs at the humane society... and today we got to pet wolves at a wolf sanctuary! It was so cool! There were tons and tons of them and they were super sweet. But! I've been doing well, definitely been a little up and down this week... but I just loveeee reading the book of mormon so much and my testimony grows stronger each day. Its a dang good book :) Getting super excited for Audries baptism on Saturday! She is so awesome!  I also asked someone to get baptized this week! Angels

hello!  it's been another great week in catalina!! something fun that happened this week is that we had our ward halloween trunk or treat! sister daly & I dressed up as angels and decorated our trunk and handed out smarties! it was so fun! we also met a lot of cool people this week! it was cool because one time we street contacted someone who said he wasnt interested, but as we walked back to our car, he stopped us asking for our number so that he could talk to his wife about having us over! it was so cool! there are so many little miracles every day!  so yeah! things are going well and we are happy happy happy! the only bad thing was my gnarly toe infection hahaha... But! I have been feeling extra grateful this week to be a missionary!
