Spooky Times In The ATM

so once upon a time on wednesday, we were enjoying some chinese takeout on our front lawn. there's like 4 or 5 fires surrounding where I am right now, so the sky was a dark purpley color, the sun was blood red, and it was literally raining tons of ashes all over. so that was kinda spooky. but THEN!! we get a voice memo from the APs saying that OUR MISSION PRESIDENT HAS CORONAVIRUS and that he'd be going home the NEXT DAY!!! soooooo we were all kinda freaking out ya know cuz like WHOS runnin the show down here??? but yeah things in the arizona tucson mish are a lil wild. we were going to get a new president on july 1st, but we should be getting our new mission president by saturday!...


on a more happy note! we started teaching the actual most prepared person that I've ever met on my whole mission! a member has been teaching him about our church and now he's ready to meet w the missionaries! we are SOO excited!!! 


also, my studies this week were BOMB!! the stories about alma and amulek and all they went through as missionaries helped me to realize that even though things aren't always easy- when we are patient and put our full faith in God, that's when we are blessed<3
I am seeing Gods hand more and more as I continue to have faith in Him & His plan for me:)

Tucson, Moms, And Cheese Week

Hello friends! I've had an amazing week!! (besides the dead cockroach in my shoe this morning) The highlight was being able to go to Tucson for my graduation from training!  I got to see allllll my cute friends and have a really good meeting:) I also had a fun dinner with a member in sister curtis's first area. I'm officially not a greenie anymore! Hard to beleive I've been in the field for 12 weeks already!  We also got our transfer cheese! And I found out why it's called transfer cheese! The word for "gossip" in spanish is "chisme" which sounds a lot like cheese so I guess that's where they got it.... but anyways, me and sister curtis are staying!!! So happy to have another transfer with her... I also had a nice call with my cute fam bam yesterday!.. and I think the best part was knowing that I wouldn't have to wait till Christmas to talk to them again haha  Sister curtis and I are pretty lucky to have some good "moms" out her...

I Got To Pet Wolves Today!!

It's been kind of a long week! I got sick on Tuesday and I'm just getting better... but I am glad I didn't get the flu because there is a crazy outbreak here (we had to wear masks when we visited some people at a care facility)  We are the only zone of the mission with day light savings because every one else is in Arizona! So that's kinda weird when we are trying to communicate with other missionaries  This week we did some service and walked dogs at the humane society... and today we got to pet wolves at a wolf sanctuary! It was so cool! There were tons and tons of them and they were super sweet. But! I've been doing well, definitely been a little up and down this week... but I just loveeee reading the book of mormon so much and my testimony grows stronger each day. Its a dang good book :) Getting super excited for Audries baptism on Saturday! She is so awesome!  I also asked someone to get baptized this week! Angels

hello!  it's been another great week in catalina!! something fun that happened this week is that we had our ward halloween trunk or treat! sister daly & I dressed up as angels and decorated our trunk and handed out smarties! it was so fun! we also met a lot of cool people this week! it was cool because one time we street contacted someone who said he wasnt interested, but as we walked back to our car, he stopped us asking for our number so that he could talk to his wife about having us over! it was so cool! there are so many little miracles every day!  so yeah! things are going well and we are happy happy happy! the only bad thing was my gnarly toe infection hahaha... But! I have been feeling extra grateful this week to be a missionary!
